BIKING Five biking routes cover over 45 miles of along the edges of swamp forests, through the countryside, along paved roads and off-road trails. Ramble through some of the first settled regions of Tyrrell County. Pick up maps and trail descriptions at the Tyrrell County Visitor Center, US Hwy. 64, Columbia, NC, Ph. 252-796-0723.

Emily and Richardson Preyer-Buckridge Coastal Preserve 252-796-3709 Open January through mid-October for walking. Contact Buckridge Coastal Preserve at PO Box 8, Columbia, NC 27925 or the phone number above for specific information.


CAMPING
Pettigrew State Park 252-797-4475 Trails and Picnic areas located throughout the park. Maps available at park office. Family campsite for tents or trailers available. Picnic tables, grills, restrooms with showers close by.
